That’s an interesting question that can be applied to a lot of things. It came to my mind this morning as I was thinking about certain people who dropped out of church. In my mind I can still see their faces and hear their voices. Contrary to what they probably think, I miss them. Contrary to what they believe, I love them. I can’t help but wonder– “How is it now?” For whatever reason, you probably left with the belief that you would be better off. How is it now?

I remember when you were faithful in attendance, but how is it now? Are you in regular attendance at another church?

I remember when you took part in our Bible studies, but how is it now? Are you still a student of God’s Word?

I remember when you volunteered to help and filled a useful place in the church, but how is it now? What are you doing to serve the Lord?

I remember when your family worshiped with you, but how is it now? Is worship still an important part of life for your family?

I remember when you expressed great excitement in greeting your brothers and sisters in Christ, but how is it now? Do you miss them?

I remember when you asked the church to pray with you regarding the needs of your loved ones, but how is it now? Is prayer still an important part of your life?

I remember when you had a smile on your face and joy in your heart, but how is it now? Have you lost the joy of your salvation?

I remember when you had peace in your soul, but how is it now? Are you worried, fearful and troubled?

I remember when you- – – – . You are gone, but not forgotten! I truly hope that all is well and that you can answer all these questions on a positive note. However, if such isn’t the case please know that I am thinking about you, praying for you, and willing to help however I can. I want nothing but the best for you and your family. You might have anger toward me, but I have none toward you. I wish you well in all things.

It would thrill my soul to see you get back to the place where you once were and watch you enjoy life to the fullest. It is my prayer that God will help you get past the past and give you a glorious future. In all sincerity I say, I hope to see you soon! Please, think about it! Yours in Christ, Bro. Stone
