MORNING MANNA 1-25-26
THE GREAT WORKS OF THE LORD
“And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.”
Judges 2:7
Read a story about a family moving to a new house. Their former house had a huge sunroom on the back of the house. The man’s daughter loved to play in it. They loved the natural light in the room. The new house didn’t have one. The family wanted a sunroom. The sunroom was not a necessity. The man started praying about it without telling anyone. He asked the Lord if it would be okay to invest in one. A request for this addition whose home was part of his prayers for months.
The family went on vacation several states away from their home and found a church to worship the Lord in while they were away. After service they engaged in conversation with a family of the church. The two men were talking and ended up sharing what their occupations were. Guess what the new acquaintance did for a living. You guessed it! He built sunrooms! There’s more though. It was placed on the man’s heart to travel 900 miles and build the family a sunroom for half the price he usually charged.
The man shared with his family his daily prayer request to the Lord about this added feature to their home. Often the family would enjoy their new room and the father would ask his children, “Who gave us this room?”, and his children would say, “God did”.
Never forget THE GREAT WORKS OF THE LORD!
