“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” – Jer. 33:3
The Bible is clear about the fact that we ought to pray and the troubles in life make it clear that we need to pray. However, we sometimes neglect what we need most and we miss what we can’t do without. Surely if we really understood the potential of prayer we would never neglect it. Prayer makes all that is within the will of God within our reach. And if we are truly honest when we say, “Thy will be done” we will pray. A lack of prayer reveals a lack of concern about God’s will and that puts us in grave danger!
How grateful we ought to be that God is willing to draw from all the resources of heaven to provide the needs of His children. We don’t deserve it. So how is it then that we have such a glorious privilege as prayer? It is due to God’s grace. Therefore, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”( Heb. 4:16). -HDS
