A SAFE PLACE FOR YOU
Psalm 57:1 “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: For my soul trusted in thee: Yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, Until these calamities be overpast.”
When we find an analogy to describe the character or attributes of our Lord such as “thy wings” which we find in this verse, it’s well worth a study to fully understand why the Lord chooses the things he does to describe himself.
A baby bird enjoys being nestled in the wings of a mother though not understanding the depth of protection a mother’s wings will provide.
The feathers are firm and collectively provide a great barrier. They are also water repellent. Considering the detail design of each feather they also come together to form a shield to block the winds.
