MORNING MANNA 12-4-25
THE MAJESTIC MANGER
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Luke 2:11-14
Many who heard the Messiah was coming looked for a miracle worker, a politician, or a King. There was a preconceived idea that there would be an instant majestic manifestation of Him. Instead, He came as a baby. He didn’t come wrapped in all of the glory of Heaven, but in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Jesus didn’t come on the scene performing miracles or taking up a throne. People pictured His introduction being that which wouldn’t require faith. They were looking for proof to the eye in the way they pictured Him coming.
It took faith in the Word of God to believe, and it still does. We live by faith, not by sight. For by grace are ye saved through faith.
Jesus was everything in the manger He is now. It was a MAJESTIC MANGER, not to the natural eye, but the eye of faith. He is God Almighty in the flesh and the source for belief is the scriptures.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
“being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
Many believed in this baby to save them from their sins.
