But exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Hebrews 3:13
We need the church! And it’s not just the gathered church on Sunday mornings that we need, as important as that is. It’s the daily fellowship of one another that encourages, protects, counsels, admonishes, and comforts us day by day.
— Bible says — We, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another… Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another… Be of the same mind toward one another… Love one another… Admonish one another… Bear one another’s burdens… Wash one another’s feet… Be kind to one another… forgiving one another… Abound in love to one another and to all (Romans 12:5, 10, 16, John 13:14; Romans 15:14; Galatians 6:2; John 13:34; Ephesians 4:32; 1 Thessalonians 3:12).
The old Puritan, George Swinnock, said, “Satan watches for those vessels that sail without a convoy.” Find someone today who needs a little of the “one another” you can provide and “be” the church for that person. (From Turning Point)
Remember, we are to be ministers of grace to each other.
