And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.-Revelation 19:11
The National Hurricane Center at Florida International University, Miami, Florida, has a tough job: providing a balanced stream of information about approaching hurricanes–not enough to cause panic but enough to motivate people to get ready. The hurricane is coming and you’re not going to change that fact.
The NHC folks have a tough message–the weatherman’s version of tough love. Like the message of the Book of Revelation: Jesus Christ is coming back–and He’s bringing a sword. You can prepare for His arrival now or deal with the consequences on that day. It’s your choice. Call it the Bible’s version of tough love. Unlike dealing with a hurricane, the way to prepare for Jesus’ Second Coming is to run straight toward Him, not away from Him. And the more you read about His return in Revelation 19-20, the more likely you will be to begin preparing for His arrival.
If you’re not familiar with Revelation, try reading the last two chapters to see how the story ends. It will make you want to read the whole book.(From Turning Point)
The subject of the second coming of Christ has never been popular to any but the true believer.
