MORNING MANNA.          1-21-26

MORNING MANNA.             1-21-26
THE SIMPLICITY OF SUPPLICATION

How simple is this? Every Christian can call on the Lord and praise Him, seek guidance from Him, and ask Him for help. We can find ourselves in a place of spiritual poverty simply because we’re not talking with the Lord about it.The following poem should help us stop and see the tragedy of not seeking The One Who can supply all our need.

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day!
I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t take time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.
“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered, He answered, “You didn’t ask!”

I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided, “Why, child, you didn’t knock!”

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak.
I wondered why God didn’t show me. He answered me, “But you didn’t seek.”

I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish, that I had to take time to pray.—Author Unknown

May this help us all to call upon the Lord  today.

“Pray without ceasing.”

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬

IF WE ONLY KNEW

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28

“The little boy was awake in his bedroom with the light on long after he was supposed to be asleep. Dad walked by the room and heard him chuckling and saying “if you only knew, if you only knew.” Dad investigated to find out what was going on. His son was reading a book. He was in the middle of the book and the hero was being used, abused, and dominated by the villain, but the boy had skipped ahead and read the last chapter first and found out how it all would end up. The hero would turn out victorious. So back in the dark, gloomy, middle of the story, the hero was in a bad position. The boy was able to rejoice though because he knew how it would all end up.”

We’re all between the beginning and end of our story right now. Sometimes it’s frustrating and sometimes it’s a fight.

However, we have been given insight on the final chapter! We do know! We’re not hurting just to hurt. We’re not suffering through battle just for the bruises. It’s all going to work out for good. Bad things in and of themselves would just be bad. God is going to work all things together for good though. Trust through the trial! May we grow in faith during the fight! Believe God and His promises.

It’s not about what’s happening TO us, it’s about what’s happening IN us and what IS TO COME.

We know this. How about you? If you have never come to Jesus by grace through faith, trusting him as Lord and Savior of your life, for the forgiveness of your sins, you are most likely dealing with battles that are leaving you bitter.

To that we say, “if you only knew, if you only knew.” Come to Jesus today and know.

HE JUST CAN’T STOP

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭35‬, ‭37‬-‭39‬ ‭

Sister Roger’s was teaching her 3rd and 4th grade class as she had done for years. She continually petitioned the Lord every week to help her to make the message understandable. One Sunday morning she was trying to convey how much the Lord loves us and a rare occurrence took place. She taught on it a while and didn’t feel she got the point across, so she struggled for words to put the final touches on the subject of the Lord’s love. After stuttering and stumbling over her words, she came to a pause. Then a little girl said, “I know what you’re trying to say. Jesus loves us so much HE JUST CAN’T STOP.”

MORNING MANNA.               1-18-26
  MORE THAN ENOUGH

Something every human being has in common from Adam to the babies being born as you read this is, all breathe oxygen. That covers billions of people. This requires a lot of oxygen, yet no one is seriously concerned about running out. No one is concerned about running out of water for the fish either. As for the animals eating foliage in the forest, they have endlessly been nourished.

God has more than enough supply for our every need.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭

God makes a powerful promise of provision to those who belong to Him. The promise is not to fulfill our want list, but our need. He provides from His riches. People have a certain cap on their earthly riches, but the Lord has an endless supply of spiritual riches. Our limitations tempt us to be anxious. God’s never ending abundance provides us with assurance. Notice His supply is not “from” His riches, but “according to” His riches. There is no ceiling on the supply of all we need from the Lord. He has MORE THAN ENOUGH.

MAY THE FEARFUL BECOME BOLD

“But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭

I love the boldness of Peter and John at a time when many become fearful. What do we do about the fear that tries to grip us when we face trials in life?

We must stop and ask ourselves the question: Is this too big for God? He is the Creator of the universe, He is always in control, and He conquers all problems!

We must look to God instead of our troubles. When we draw close to the Lord our confidence grows. We grow in holy boldness when we walk with Him through the trials of life.

Would you make the decision to stop today, quit focusing on your problem, and let your thoughts be directed toward God? He’s bigger than our problems. There is a better outcome when we ponder His power.

Do this and our fears will shrink, and boldness will abound in our lives!
