MORNING MANNA             12-15-25

MORNING MANNA                  12-15-25
EVERLASTING FATHER

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called … THE EVERLASTING FATHER…” Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭

In just about one breath the prophet calls Jesus a Child, a Son, and an Everlasting Father. This infant is infinite!

Earthly leaders have a very short reign, but the reign of Jesus is without beginning and there is no end to it. There has never been a time He hasn’t existed. He could not have this name if He ever “wasn’t”. He will reign over His people forever. His majesty will never fade. His blood will never lose its power.

As our Everlasting Father, that leads us to consider what matters for eternity : worship, witness, the word, giving, sacrificing, serving, etc..

Having everlasting life from an Everlasting Father should affect our actions.
-To become a doctor affects educational plans.
-To become an athlete affects workout regimen.

Our expectations affect our decisions.
Christians will live in defeat if our expectations are limited to just our time on earth. We can and must consider eternity now because we have an EVERLASTING FATHER.

THE MIGHTY GOD

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called … THE MIGHTY GOD…”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭

There once were two police officers. They both went through the academy, had a badge, issued citations, and made arrests.

However, one had a hard time with suspects. He suffered bumps and bruises from those who resisted arrest.

The other one had no bumps and bruises and seldom experienced any resistance.

What was the difference? One officer had authority. The other officer had power and authority.

Jesus Christ has all authority AND power.

This little baby who had to be fed and learn to walk would have all power in Heaven and earth given unto him.

He has the authority and the power to gift a lost sinner with salvation, meet our every need, sustain our life, and keep us for Heaven!

He’s THE MIGHTY GOD.

HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED COUNSELLOR!

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called … COUNSELLOR…”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭

God is Our Advisor. He has a perfect purpose and plan. His counsel is unchangeable and stands forever.

We would do well to listen to The One whose shoulder the government of the world shall rest on. How could we not be persuaded by the record and reputation of the greatest counsellor, The Lord Jesus? There’s no greater, confident, experience than having peace in our decisions, influenced from Heaven.

He chose the perfect time to create Adam, manifest His Son, start His earthly ministry, die, be buried, raised again, ascend to Heaven, and it will be perfect timing when He returns to take us to Heaven.

Meanwhile, until He returns, he wants us to seek His persuasion on our present path, place tomorrow in His Hand. He would have us do this for our good, for the experience of His joy in our lives, and for His Glory!

No appointment necessary. He’s always ready to counsel His children. Would you seek Him today?

HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED COUNSELLOR!

ORNING MANNA                  12-12-25
CHRIST IS WONDERFUL

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called WONDERFUL…”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭

I can’t think of anything better to share this morning, than a word on how wonderful Christ is. May we never lose the joy, zeal, amazement, or wonder of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!

May the day never come when it’s just an ordinary thing to hear the gospel, be in a worship service, hear and sing songs of praise to God, and be under the sound of preaching.

John Newton, once a rough, rugged, cussing sailor, was saved by Jesus Christ, penned the words to 🎵 Amazing Grace 🎵, and also wrote the following which falls right in line with this morning’s thought :

“How tedious and tasteless the hours,

When Jesus no longer I see!

Sweet prospects, sweet birds, sweet flowers,

Have all lost their sweetness to me.

The Midsummer sun shines but dim,

The fields strive in vain to look full,

But when I am happy with Him,

December is pleasant, not dull.

Dear Lord if indeed I am thine,

If thou art my sun and my song,

Say, what do I languish and pine,

And why are my winters so long?

Oh drive these dark clouds from my sky,

Thy soul-cheering presence restore,

Or take me unto thee on high,

Where winter and clouds are no more.”

If weariness is trying to overwhelm you. If weeping occurs more and more often, pause and reflect on how WONDERFUL Christ is!
                  Merry Christmas,

A SYMPATHIZING SAVIOR

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬

CAN JESUS SYMPATHIZE WITH US IN OUR STRUGGLES?

Well,

– He was born in lowly accommodations. Luke 2:7

– He was born to poor parents who could not bring a lamb for an offering. Leviticus 12:6,8 Luke 2:24

– His life was threatened as a baby. Matthew 2:13

– He was obviously without an earthly father at a young age, and supported his mother and siblings.

– He had no place to lay His head. Matthew 8:20

– He was opposed by religionists.

– He was charged with insanity and demon possession. Luke 11:15

– He was hated by most of His listeners.

– He was betrayed by one who appeared to be a friend. Luke 22:48

– He was forsaken by all. Isaiah 53:6

– He had to undergo unfair trial. Matthew 26:59

– He was mocked. Matthew 27:31

– He was crucified. Matthew 27:33-35

– “He is despised and rejected of men; (((a man of sorrows))), and acquainted with grief … he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭3

There is no one who knows how we feel like Jesus. There is no one that can help like Jesus.
Would you talk to Him about it today? He understands and He always makes a way.

YES, JESUS SURELY SYMPATHIZES WITH US IN OUR STRUGGLES!-
