LUKEWARM MUSLIMS

August 23, 2010 By Pastor David Stone

For many years I’ve been saying, we ought to thank God for the backslidden Muslims, because if they followed the teachings of Islam they would all be killers–that’s what the Koran commands them to do!
I just read an article by Coach Dave Daubenmire that says exactly what I’ve tried to say, only much better. I doubt that you will ever read an article that says it better. PLEASE take a few minutes to read this article:
LUKEWARM MUSLIMS

I continue to be amazed at the gullibility of the average American.

Thanks to the constant drumbeat of the politically correct lamestream media the “War on Terror” is not a “war on Islam” because, they tell us, Islam is a “great religion” and a “religion of peace.”

The same gaggle of media elites who have carried water for the Christ-hating ACLU and their cohorts, repeating their song of siren about “the separation of church and state” are now snuggling up to the “peaceful” Muslims who want to build a monument to terror near Ground Zero. As usual, the secular sycophants in the media are carrying the flag for the Christ-hating Mullahs under the banner of “freedom of religion.”

The good news is that Mom and Pop are finally starting to get it. The unholy trinity of Secularism, Islam, and Atheism has joined forces in their effort to overthrow Christianity in America and despite the cowardly leadership in the Christian community; Paul Revere is riding again, warning of the attack on everything that has made America great.

No true Muslim is a “peaceful” Muslim. Any follower of Islam who does not believe in Jihad is Islam’s version of “lukewarm” Christians. “Cultural Christians” is what my friend Gary calls them. A “cultural Christian” is one who follows the basic tenets of Christianity but has no real idea what the Bible teaches. He/she self-identifies as Christian because they were raised to follow the religious traditions of the faith, but with the exception of church attendance and daily prayer, their life style differs very little from a moral atheist.

America’s churches are filled with them. Moderate Christians…moderate Republicans…moderate conservatives. According to the dictionary, a moderate is a person who is “opposed to extreme views and actions.” Today, following the Bible is extreme.

Jesus called “moderates” lukewarm and warned that their association with His Name did not classify them as true believers. Calling oneself a Christian does not make it so. Moderate Christianity makes Jesus ill.

Most Muslims are “moderates” as well. “Lukewarm” Muslims are not thought very highly of by the more zealous followers of Mohammed. “Radicals” is what the media calls them. In fact, the “radical” Muslims promote violence even against their more “moderate” fellow believers.

Take a look around. In almost every aspect of American life it is a small element that wields all of the power. Oh, they let us vote in order to give the appearance that we are in control, but all major decisions are made by a small group of leaders. Have you noticed what is going on in the American government? Do the views of the White House represent the views of Mom and Pop America?

It is true in politics, it is true in the media, and it is true in religion. It does not matter what the majority think. The ultimate decisions are made by a group of leaders whose opinions hold sway over the majority. Everything that gets done in America is done by a committed, unrelenting, minority.

“It does not take a majority to prevail … but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” Sam Adams, the “Firebrand of the Revolution.”

So, here is the scoop. Most Muslims are “moderates” just as most Christians are “lukewarm.” Content to live and let live, they are a danger to no one. Lukewarm Muslims pray to Allah but they are not true followers of him. Lukewarm Christians pray to Jesus yet fail to follow His most basic teachings.

The more closely one follows Jesus the more willing he is to lay down his life. The more closely one follows Mohammed the greater is his desire to kill.

“Radical Islam” has declared war on the followers of Jesus. We may not be at war with them…but they are at war with us. Failure to realize this will cost us our children.

The very word Islam means “submit.” Most Americans are ignorant of Islam and its violent history. Today there is not one nation in the universe where Islam and Christianity peacefully co-exist. There is no freedom of religion in Islam. In 27 countries around the world where Islam rules, the church IS the State. No other religion is tolerated.

Islam is more than religion. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. They gain freedom in America by hiding behind the “freedom of religion” facade.

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate. Read this chilling article

The “radical” Muslims direct the “moderate” Muslims. The history of Islam is 1400 years of death, destruction and conquest. “Radical” Muslims hate Christians; they hate Jews; they hate homosexuals; they hate women. They win converts at the point of a sword…convert or die.

That is what is coming to America. The Ground Zero Mosque is where they stick a flag in the ground. It is their beachhead for the Islamization of America. As Islam grows in America the “lukewarm” Muslims will be controlled by the “true followers” of Allah. Lukewarm Islam will disappear. So will lukewarm Christianity. Convert or die.

Christianity and Islam cannot co-exist. That is Truth. That is the battle America faces. Most writers don’t have the courage to say it. I just did.

Saudi Arabia owns America. They have bought off Congress; they own Fox News, and they have their man in the White House.

Our president has three Muslim names. He was trained in a Madrassa. He can recite the Koran from memory. He bows to Saudi Princes. He brags about the greatness of Islam and refuses to take part in the National Day of Prayer. He wants to build a Mosque at Ground Zero. Do you believe your eyes or do you believe what CNN tells you?

My friend Flip Benham recently wrote, “Religion is Islam’s cover (its beard) by which it gains entrance into nations where the “freedom of religion” is sacrosanct. It then takes this freedom afforded to it and begins its insidious takeover. Like a python, slowly moving upon its prey with almost imperceptible and hypnotic movement, it begins to coil around its victim until it squeezes out every last breath of air. When dead the victim is swallowed whole. Just look at the nations Islam has swallowed whole.”

“Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the earth…” Gen 3:1

England is gone. America is next. Islam is on the march. The Ground Zero Mosque is the canary in the mine. If we don’t stand up now our grand daughters will be wearing burquas.
When push comes to shove will your “lukewarm” Muslim neighbor be faithful to America or to Mohammed…to the Constitution or to the Koran?

Perhaps we should ask the French.

DRESSING FOR COURT AND CHURCH

August 18, 2010 By Pastor David Stone

I just heard an interesting segment on radio station KTRH-740. The subject had to do with “Judges calling for better-dressed courtrooms”. The lead article, by Scott Crowder, said:
Headed to court? To be safe, break out your “Sunday-go-to-meeting” clothes.
Americans have become awfully casual with their dress at the courthouse, and that does not please Humble Congressman Ted Poe, a former judge.

“T-shirt and jeans is, in my opinion, not respectful of our American judicial system,” says Poe. “It’s something that you would wear to Walmart maybe, but not something that you’d wear to the courthouse.”

Across the country, judges are cracking down on sloppy dress, and Timothy Foutsko of the National Center for State Courts says there’s good reason.

“Those judges that maintain a good set of decorum in their courtroom tend to have less acts of violence, less acts of people acting out,” says Foutsko.

In commenting on this Ted Poe said that people should dress for the courtroom as they do for church. I wonder if he has noticed how people are dressing for church now-a-days? The way some people dress is pitiful. I could write a long article about this and I have done so in the past, but most people don’t care. They are going to do what they want regardless and they flaunt their rebellion without any shame whatsoever. They have no respect for scriptural principles, the pastor’s conviction, or the impression they make on others.
I will spare you the details, it wouldn’t do any good to spell out the specifics. Everybody gets the picture. Unlike the courts we don’t try to force people to conform to a dress code, but that doesn’t mean that you should dress any way you please. Common decency demands modestly and the dignity of a church service should motivate us to be at our best and be blameless.
When I think about dress codes from the past I can’t help but think that we owe an entire generation an aplogy. If what we see today is fine then what we required then was wrong and unfair. Part of the problem is that when you give an inch people take a mile–they always go to the extreme.
I know this is a touchy subject, but we need to be reminded that just any dress isn’t appropriate for a worship service–not now, not ever. The song “Just as I am” speaks about coming to the Lord for salvation, not the manner in which we dress for church. We don’t have a rule that requires people to comb their hair, shine their shoes and wear deodorant, but it’s a pretty good idea if you do. Over the years I have bent over backwards trying to be understanding and considerate regarding this issue, but some folks just don’t care. It seems strange that people have more respect for man’s law than they do for the Bible, more respect for the courthouse than the church house, more repect for the judge than the pastor. I hope you will THINK ABOUT IT!

SAD NEWS

August 11, 2010 By Pastor David Stone

While sitting at my desk preparing for a funeral service in a couple hours I received a phone call telling me that my best childhood friend had just died. I could literally write a book about our childhood experiences. Jerry was the person responsible for getting me into church, and I was saved a few weeks later. He was the best singer I’ve ever known and had as much natural talent as anyone I know. Over the years we drifted apart and our lives went in different directions.I could say so many things, but it would be meaningless to most of you.
All this just serves to remind me that life is short, our days are uncertain, and nothing is more important that serving God—that’s the only reason God leaves any of us on earth. If we are going to live only to please ourselves there is no reason for us to be here–heaven is much more pleasing!
In light of these facts we need to pay close attention to the words of Solomon, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do , do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”(Ecc. 9:10). So, what are you living for? Are you serving God with all your might? Think about it!—Time is short!

CHRIST LIVETH IN ME

August 6, 2010 By Pastor David Stone

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the live which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.—Gal.2:20

I have delighted in this verse for more than forty years and it never grows old. Many years ago I had the privilege of meeting Major Ian Thomas, a remarkable man, and I want to share his experience with you. I hope this story, told by Robert Morgan, blesses your heart as it did mine:

During World War II, Major Thomas served with the British Expeditionary forces in Belgium and took part in the evacuation at Dunkirk.  He later became a far-famed evangelist and Bible teacher, and the founder of Capernwray Missionary and the Torchbearers.

But the real defining moment for Ian Thomas came when he was a young man at the university.  He was leader of the InterVarsity Fellowship group on his campus in London, and he poured himself into campus evangelism with incredible zeal.   He later recalled, “Out of a sheer desire to win souls, to go out and get them, I was a windmill of activity, until, at the age of 19, every moment of my day was packed tight with doing things:   preaching, talking, counseling.

“The only thing that alarmed me was that nobody was converted!  That gets a little discouraging after a bit, doesn’t it?  The more I did, the less happened; and it was not a question of insincerity.  The prospects and the environment were good; there was plenty of ammunition and plenty of targets, but just nothing happened!  I became deeply depressed, because I really loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart; I wanted to be made a blessing to my fellow men.  But I discovered that forever doubling and redoubling my efforts, rushing here and dashing there, taking part in this campaign, taking part in that campaign, preaching in the morning, preaching in the evening, talking to the Bible class, witnessing to this one, counseling with another, did nothing, nothing to change the utter barrenness and uselessness of my activity.

“Thus by the age of 19, I had been reduced to a state of complete exhaustion spiritually, until I felt that there was no point in going on.”

But one night in November of that year, about midnight, Ian Thomas got down on his knees in his room and wept in sheer despair.  “Oh, God,” he said, “I know that I am saved.  I love Jesus Christ.  I am perfectly convinced that I am converted.  With all my heart I have wanted to serve Thee.  I have tried to my uttermost and I am a hopeless failure!”

Suddenly a phrase from a Bible verse flashed into Thomas’ mind:  Christ, who is your life!  It hit him with terrific force and it seemed God was saying this to him:  “For seven years with utmost sincerity, you have been trying to live for Me, on My behalf, the life that I have been waiting for seven years to live through you.  Now supposing I am your life…  I am your strength…  I am your victory in every area of life.”

And Ian Thomas relinquished his own role in his own life, saying to the Lord:  “If this is true, then I am going to thank Thee for it in sheer cold-blooded faith, with no evidence to support it, and nothing but a history of failure behind me.  I am going to thank Thee that if Thou art my life, and this is true, then Thou art my strength, Thou art my power, Thou art my future.  Thou art the One Who is going to go out now, clothed with me, to do all that I so hopelessly have been trying to do in the past seven years.”

Shortly after, Thomas was to speak to a boys’ Bible class.  On his way, he said, “Well now, Lord, Thou art going to speak to that boys’ class, isn’t it wonderful?  Yesterday I thought I was going to, but Thou art going to now!”

He arrived to find about 90 boys gathered for the class.  He just spoke simply about the Lord Jesus, then invited any who wanted to receive Him as Lord and Savior to see him afterward.  Thirty boys stayed behind.  And that was the beginning of an extraordinary lifetime of fruitful ministry

WHO IS OUR ENEMY?

August 5, 2010 By Pastor David Stone

I just finished reading an article entitled,”Our own government has become our enemy”. I’ve also read several comments lately saying that it’s time for a second American revolution–some say it has already started.

I never thought I would live to see the day when Americans would be building up arsenals in preparation for battle against their own government. We always thought that kind of stuff happens somewhere else. Right? Well, dear friend it’s happening here. If you can’t see what is happening in America you’re living in a dream world. Come to think of it–that’s exactly what many folks are doing. They are so uninformed that they don’t have a clue as to what is happening in America. All they know is what they hear from a few sound-bites from the corrupt liberal news media that is dead set on destroying America.

Like it or not, believe it or not, America is in serious trouble and unless something is done things are about to get a whole lot worse. Coach Dave Daubenmire put it like this–“Liberty is on life support, they are purposely pushing us in a corner.”

In the last few days we’ve seen two very important examples of state rights being trampled under-foot by federal judges. First was the ruling in Arizona regarding immigration laws. Then came the ruling in California denying the right of the state to define marriage as a union of one man and one woman. Commenting on these two rulings, Dave Daubenmire wrote:

In both cases, the courts “struck down” the will of the people. In both instances, one woman, and then one man, booted our Republican form of government to he curb. If the vote of the people can no longer change the laws of the land; when the “opinion” of one judge can over-rule the “opinion” of the majority of the people we have descended into unspeakable tyranny. America is teetering on the precipice.

My friends, America is broken and no one is more culpable than the courts. Our “domestic” enemies have done in sixty years what our “foreign enemies” could never have accomplished. While America’s young men were fighting to preserve liberty with guns and grenades, the real insurgents were using legal briefs and atheistic lawyers. All of the great moral terrorism levied on this nation was done, not by those dressed in a burka, but by those dressed in legal robes. Not by those trained in Islam, but by those trained in law. The “terrorist in black robes” have destroyed this nation.

Folks, court opinions are not law. Courts cannot make laws, they can only interpret them. Only the Congress or the people can make laws. Allow me to say it again. Courts cannot make laws. When will America wake up? The rendering of a court “decision” carries no lawful weight. As Andrew Jackson is reported to have said regarding a John Marshall Court decision, “Marshall made his decision, now let him enforce it.” It is time to stand up against the secular mullahs masquerading as “judges”. There opinions are not laws and it is time we started acting like it.

Dear friends I realize that as Christians it is not our job to change and save the world, but if we do our job it will sure make a difference. As we win the lost to Christ people change and ultimately society begins to change. That’s our only hope for America. We aren’t doing our best for America unless we are doing our best to carry out the great commission given to us by the Lord. If you really care about the future of your children and grandchildren, then get busy trying to win folks to Christ. That’s the only thing that will bring about the changes we need. Think about it!
